As I paint I generally don’t know what I am painting about until near the end and thoughts and emotions become clearer near to the finished piece.
It could be the colour palette that makes me think of certain things or a certain colour.
When I started this collection I felt it reminded me of the sea with that beautiful phthalo turquoise and greens mixing together. Then it popped into my head ‘there is plenty more fish in the sea’ that saying that you have heard a million times when a relationship hasn’t gone to plan.
When I added the fluro pink into my painting it became apparent that this painting and it’s series is all about finding your soul mate.
The journey of loving yourself before you can be loved then being loved in return.
