My inspiration comes directly from the landscape around me.
Living in the beautiful countryside in Moray Scotland. Surrounded by hills and the highest being Ben Rinnes which is practically in my back garden I have definitely found my happy place.
But it is more than that.
Childhood memories that are slightly faded but strong in their sense of happiness and joy are prevalent.
These memories of playfulness and joy of walking in the countryside or being at the beach is becoming stronger in my work.
A slight wonky cross that keeps coming intuitively through in my work is a wink to the barb wire fences that i used to easily jump over whilst playing at my grandparents farm.
Or the bright playful colours remind me of my Nanas wonderful garden full in bloom which I helped tend to in the summer holidays.
I hope my art takes you to your happy place where freedom, happiness and sprinkling of positivity can find a place in your home.
If you are interested in a commission we can chat about your colours that fit your brief. Along with the size of your painting and the room in your home where your piece will go. I will make it as easy as possible for you to get the artwork you will love.
